SAFEGUARDS

The Agreement on Safeguards of the Round Uruguay establishes the procedure for the application of the measures foreseen in the Article XIX, of the GATT 1994. The same one was approved by the Law N ° 24.425 and regulated by the Decree N º 1059/96 of date 19 of September of 1996. The Law 19.549 and his Regulation Decree N ° 1759/72 regulate the administrative procedure in general and are applied supletoriamente when emptinesses exist in the specific legislation providing that they are not in contraposition with the beginning of the same one.
